8-15-06: I meant to announce this weeks ago, but Simply Complicated will be on hiatus indefinitely. Along with Killer Instinct. I just don't have the motivation to do comics anymore. Seeing as no one reads them but me, I'm just going to enjoy life and not worry about comics, at least until I go to college and make some friends who will actually read my damn comics like good friends ought to. If anyone's actually reading this, I started my senior year of high school yesterday (yikes... a fifteen-year-old senior?...) and I really do have better things to do with my time than worry about updating a comic no one reads. If anyone cares, sorry. If not, well then, I guess I'm not sorry.
4-15-06: By way of a note, KI will not be updating. Pretty much ever. I am working on character designs, story arcs, general plot, and a good many other things including the ability to produce the effect of gunfire. Just so you know. 2-24-06: I DID IT!!! I finished my first story arc! This is the first time I've finished a story arc ever! I am so proud of myself! Granted, it took me only four months short of two years to do, but... oh hey, I thought I had been at it for two and a half. Well I guess this is good then! I was getting very bored of that story arc. I mean, I only finished writing it a year ago. Now for the long-awaited Kevin Kayd story arc! :) After an omake I've been waiting to put up for a few months. The art is getting really old and crappy-looking so I'm putting it up between arcs. 2-1-06: Okay, I KNOW I've been forgetting to update. But now I've put up the chapter title and first page of a new comic I've been working on recently! I am so excited about it! Wish me luck! I'm going to do the best I can, and I hope I can pull it off. This is better than the last comic I tried to do though. I couldn't even draw the character designs. 12-25-05: Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night. I'm going back to bed. I am tired. *snooooooooore*... 11-22-05: I am going to put up a Thanksgiving strip, either on Thanksgiving or the day before. Or maybe today. My brother has 5 people coming in to spend the weekend tomorrow and I have to clean all day. I am also thinking of changing Kael's name to Tristan. I haven't officially introduced him yet, making things easier. I like the name Tristan. I like Alexander also, but I use it and its female variations very often. I'm really weird. Look: favorite boy names: Vincent, Vaughn, Alexander, Tristan. ...See? Though Davis is pushing itself up the list thanks to the amusing things I've put together in my head with him. :) 10-30-05: Happy Halloween a day early. I do not have the time to color in Dragon/Dagger and Davis/Zidane today. I have to finish my library book today!!! I haven't even started yet but I can't renew it because someone else has a hold on it. Greeeeeeaaaaaat. I have so many things in my queue to color that it's disgusting. Let me make this perfectly clear: I HATE COLORING. Gaaah! I should be happy, I lost three pounds last week... 9-17-05: I am updating for tomorrow today, and putting it under the date "9-18-05" because I am sick, and probably going to feel worse tomorrow--so I got it out of the way. My throat feels absolutely awful, and I am strongly considering taking a nap just like the fuzzy-wuzzy next to me. G'night... at 3:30 in the afternoon. 9-10-05: I know I did not update last week, but there will be no update tomorrow either. My mom broke her pinky finger at the knuckle pretty far down so half of her forearm is casted and I have become her hands, as I am always here. Fortunately, Mom paid extra to have short-term disability pay, so we will not have to go without food for the next three weeks+, since Mom earns the vast majority of all the money we have around here (she's a nurse in the NICU, and they pay nurses well, as there are so few of them). Besides, tomorrow we shall stand in silence and rememberance of the victims of the 9/11 attacks and swear that Lord willing we will eradicate those radical Islamic terrorists from the face of God's green Earth if it's the last bloody thing we do!!! 9-3-05: I am going to be straightforward with you, but keep reading: THERE WILL BE NO UPDATE TOMORROW, SUNDAY THE 4TH. I will now tell you why. I've been having some computer troubles--pretty minor stuff, but it is very slow and some applications are giving me trouble, including the one I need to finish the comic--Photoshop. All day today I have been working--going food shopping (it was either that or watch the dog, which would've frustrated me more plus still not helped me get anything done since I'd have to stay on a floor with no computer), giving the dog a bath, chores, etc. Tonight Dad is forcing me to watch some retarded movie. So I have and have had no time to try to fix this and mess on the other computer. I might have the comic done before too late tomorrow, but I will likely then just save it for next week so I can stress out over that a little less. I have the non-computer part done... but this one has more computer stuff than usual. 8-28-05: Pretending I need to update on Saturdays is really working. I only have to do the web updating on Sundays after I get home from church. Everything else is done on Saturday, because I tell myself I have to have it ready to update for that evening. Perfect scheme to take care of my love of procrastination. It seems I am more likely to spend time doing my comics when I have school work to do then when I can laze out and have the feeling that I had better hurry up and laze out because summer is finite. I make no sense to the logical mind... even my own, when it tries to reason things out (it isn't great at that). |
